Half finished, or discarded sonnets, and partially written  scenes of his plays are a wealth of information and speculation. It has been  suggested by some scholars that Shakespeare often grappled with <em>writer\u2019s block<\/em>. Frustrated by the process of finding words and putting thoughts to paper he would in exasperation create an alternate story line from the original theme.
